What is Recyclable?




Here is a list of what can be recycled:

YES:  Paper

- newspaper & inserts/ junk mail
- white office paper/ envelopes & window envelopes
- office file folders
- catalogs/ phone books/ magazines
- hard cove books
- paper bags
- clean paper plates
- wrapping paper
- colored paper

YES: Cardboard & Paperboard

- cardboard/ all boxes
- all corrugated cardboard
- frozen food/ pizza boxes
- empty aseptic & drink containers/ milk & juice cartons
- paper towel rolls
- cereal boxes
- gift boxes
- brown shopping bags
- empty pie & cake boxes

YES: Plastics

- all empty containers with a #1-7, EXCEPT STYROFOAM
- plastic grocery/ shopping bags with a #2 or #4

YES: Glass

- all glass bottles & jars- any color

YES: Metal
- all clean empty aluminum containers
- foil
- pots & pans
- empty aerosol cans
- empty aluminum cans
- empty tin cans

Here is a list of things that can't be recycled:

NO!

- light bulbs
- vinyl siding
- windows
- hypodermic needles/sharp objects
- paper napkins or paper towels
- any vinyl or rubber gloves
- potato chip, sandwich or bread bags
- food/frozen food bags
- plastic wrap or film
- trash/ trash bags
- wax cardboard
- bubble wrap/packing peanuts/Styrofoam
- toys
- gas or propane containers
- alkaline or button-cell batteries
